One of the two ordinances of our faith is water baptism. Being baptized is one of the first steps a new Christian should make. Baptism is a sign of the cleansing from and forgiveness of sin and is an act of faith and obedience. It is also an outward sign of receiving Jesus and the acknowledgement of Him as your Lord and King. We have a baptism service on the 4th Sunday of each month as necessary.
A second ordinance is communion, also known as the Lord's Supper . Jesus intiated this practice at His last meal with the disciples. He told them to break bread and drink wine in rememberence of Him. We still do this today in an effort to remember the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross for our sins. His body was broken and His blood was shed so that we can have life. We have a communion service once a month.
A baby dedication is one way you can honor God as a parent by declaring that your child is a gift from God. You simply ask that God's will be done in your child's life and dedicate your child to the advancing of God's Kingdom. Baby dedications are held upon request.
A wedding is one of the strongest metaphors representing Christ and His church. Jesus calls the church His bride, and Jesus is referred to as the Bridegroom. Marriage allows us to share in the greatest expression of human intimacy while also reflecting the image of Christ and His return. Marriages are officiated upon request.
